Town & Country Meet Information and Heat Sheets

Good afternoon, Crazy Ducks!
Below is information for our second AWAY meet at Town & Country Pool located at 3330 Briarcliffe Rd NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. This pool is about 15 minutes from FCC.
After the meet, we have a team reservation at Mi Pueblo on Reynolda Road.
BEFORE ARRIVING
- The heat sheet for tonight is attached. Also attached is a list of events by swimmer.
- Duckling Helpers & Parents: We are asking several swimmers to swim up from the age group tonight for the team! Coaches will be able to help coordinate additional movement to help have all swimmers in place for their events. Let's give some extra support to our Crazy Ducks that are helping our team fill out relays and events tonight!
- All swimmers need to have their first and last name and their swim team age group, written on their back with a permanent marker. Be sure to do this after sunscreen has been applied and dried. Swimmers also need to have each event number, heat, and lane written on their arm with a permanent marker after sunscreen has been applied and dried.
- Please read through the Swim Meet 101 information. At any time if you feel lost or confused, ASK FOR HELP from the Parent Committee.
- Also, consult our list of Things to Bring. Don’t forget GOGGLES! You will need to bring your own chairs and towels. The opposing team has requested no Pop-Up Tents for this meet.
- Please HYDRATE your children today and have them rest a bit, so they have some energy for tonight!
- Parking and Facility:
- Please arrive no earlier than 4:30pm. The pool will close and members will need time to exit the enclosure and parking lot before swimmers and parents arrive.
- There is limited parking in front of the pool bathhouse, and the remainder of parking will be street parking. It has been communicated that neighbors have been understanding of swim meet traffic and parking, but please do not block driveways or fire hydrants.
CHECK IN AND SET UP
- Warm-ups at 5:15pm, meet starts at 5:30pm. Volunteers check-in with Kristen Battle.
- After you check-in your swimmer, our team will be set up to the left side of the pool. There is not much shade - please bring chairs and tents.
- Remind your older swimmer to listen to the announcer and watch the event cards. Swimmers should line up with the Deck Manager when their event is five events away. Duckling Helpers will guide the younger swimmers.
DURING THE MEET
- Food - Concessions are cash only. Sunset Slush will be available for purchase. Swimmers/parents are welcome to bring coolers with their own food/beverages.
- Swimmers are discouraged from bringing electronic devices to use during the meet.
- Swimmers need to stay with their age groups at all times.
- Please pick up your family’s trash and towels. Clean up after your family so that the Lifeguards, Coaches, and Parent Committee don’t have to.
- The live results function of SwimTopia will be disabled tonight.
