Stroke and Turn Officials Clinic - May 19 at FCC

Good morning parents,

The Greater Forsyth Swim League will host a Stroke and Turn Officials Clinic at Forsyth Country Club on May 19th at 7pm.  If you are interested in becoming a Stroke and Turn judge, please register to attend.

This clinic is designed for new officials who have never officiated in the GFSL before, and once the clinic ends, you will be required to take the online certification test in order to be certified for officiating this year. Here is the link to the sign-up genius for the clinics: 2026 New Officials Clinic. This link is posted on the GFSL Swimtopia Website as well.

The GFSL is planning a virtual Referee/Starter specific clinic this year - anyone wishing to be a Referee or Starter must also complete the online Stroke & Turn test as well. More information will be sent out soon. The requirement to be a Referee in the GFSL is to have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Stroke & Turn Official.

Returning S&T Officials: GFSL will be sending out a link for returning Stroke and Turn Officials to complete the online re-certification test.  If you have been certified as a Stroke and Turn Official in the past several seasons, be on the lookout for that email in the next few days.  It will come directly to you from the GFSL. You must pass the test to remain an official for the 2026 season, but you do not have to attend the in person clinic.  I will send a reminder once I have received the email and link myself!

If you have any questions, please reach out.
