Happy Friday Crazy Ducks! We had a great first week of practice.  Thank you to all of our coaches, swimmers, parents, and FCC team members for your commitment as we kick off the 2026 season. Read on for important reminders and updates.

Practice Week of May 11

Afternoon practice continues next week, Monday through Thursday.  Please encourage your swimmers to wear their caps and goggles.  If you do not have a cap, hair should be secured and away from the face. We have a large team again this year and participation has been fantastic. Coach Doug has asked that swimmers attend the time designated for their age group.  

6 & Under: M-Th | 4:45 pm - 5:15 pm

Ages 7-9: M-Th | 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm

10 & Older: M-Th | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Stroke and Turn Officials Needed

The Greater Forsyth Swim League will host a Stroke and Turn Officials Clinic at Forsyth Country Club on May 19th at 7pm. If you are interested in becoming a Stroke and Turn judge, please register to attend. We need 4 Stroke and Turn Officials each meet! Sign-up genius for the clinic: 2026 New Officials Clinic. 

Returning S&T Officials: The GFSL sent out the email with your personal link to complete the online re-certification test. If you have been certified as a Stroke and Turn Official in the past several seasons, you should have received this email Wednesday, 5/6. You must pass the test to remain an official for the 2026 season, but you do not have to attend the in person clinic. If you did not receive a link, please let me know so we can double check your email address and request it be resent.

Scorers Needed

We are in need of scorers at each meet, including Mock Meet. Scorers enter times and DQ slips during the meet.  If you would like to help with scoring, there is no certification required (just minimal computer skills and attention to detail), but we will need to open that position so you see it on the app.  Let me know if you are interested! 

Mock Meet May 21st

Unfortunately, we were not able to make scheduling work with Old Town Club to join us at our Mock Meet on Thursday, May 21.  We will still host our Mock Meet at 5:30pm on May 21 at FCC.  This is a fun night and great opportunity for swimmers, coaches, and volunteers to shake the dust off! If you have not done so yet, please be sure to let us know if your swimmer is attending AND get signed up to volunteer (we still have a lot of jobs to fill, including more timers). Mock Meet Sign Up via SwimTopia
