Happy Friday, Crazy Ducks and happy 250th birthday America! Well, we survived the heat at Sherwood this past week.  Hard to believe that we only have one more regular dual meet and then on to the GFSL Finals! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

• FCC travels to Peace Haven for our final away meet next Tuesday, July 7; deadline to declare your swimmer is Sunday, July 5. Volunteers are still needed too!
• GFSL Finals are on Sunday, July 12th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Swimmer and volunteer sign ups are open! We need volunteers for Finals too!
• Crazy Ducks End of Season Banquet and Pool Party is Wednesday, July 15. RSVP on the FCC club app.

Away Meet July 7th vs Peace Haven

The Crazy Ducks will visit the Peace Haven Dolphins on Tuesday, July 7th at 5:30pm. This will be our last regular dual meet. Let's finish strong! The deadline to declare your swimmer is Sunday, July 5th by 5pm.

We are in need of a few more volunteers, including a 3 Timers and  3 Duckling Helpers across the 7-8 and 9-10 age groups.  Please sign up!

GFSL Finals on July 12

The Greater Forsyth Swim League Finals will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center (the GAC) on Sunday, July 12th. Finals consist of two sessions: Session 1 (10 and under) and Session 2 A/B (11 and up; 2A-Girls and 2B-Boys). During the morning session, all events will take place in the same pool. In the afternoon, the sessions are split into two pools, one for girls and one pool for boys. The afternoon girls and boys events run concurrently. When you sign up in Swimtopia, you do need to select the specific session for your swimmer based on their age and gender. Swimmers do need to have swam in at least 2 regular season dual meets to be eligible for Finals. If your swimmer has not met this eligibility, you will not be able to sign them up until after their second meet attendance.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you swimmer is attending or not attending Finals! We will need to begin working on our entries to meet the strict July 9th deadline from the GFSL. After entries are submitted we have little to no flexibility, with changes limited only to scratches.

We urgently need a number of volunteers for Finals.  If you are attending, please consider signing up as a Timer (AM session or Girls Pool PM) or to help with Hospitality in the morning.

End of Season Banquet and Pool Party July 15

The Crazy Ducks End of Season Banquet will be held in the FCC ballroom on Wednesday, July 15 at 5:30pm. After dinner and awards, we will head out to the pool for a pool party and ice cream! RSVP on the FCC club app. Coaches can let Coach Doug know if you and your family are planning to attend.

Practice Week of July 6

Last week of practice! Due to lower practice participation as we head into Finals, there will be NO MORNING PRACTICE on Wednesday, July 8. Coach is hoping to use these last few practices to get everyone ready to go for Finals. Practice times for each age group are:

AM Practice - NO WEDNESDAY AM PRACTICE

6 & under: M and F | 9:00 am-9:30 am

7 & older: M and F | 9:30 am-10:30 am

PM Practice

6 & Under: M-W-Th | 4:45 pm - 5:15 pm

Ages 7-9: M-W-Th | 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm

10 & Older: M-W-Th | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Coupons and Ribbons from Sherwood can be picked up; Award from City Meet too!

Coupons and participation ribbons from the Sherwood meet are ready to be picked up! Ribbons and medals from the City Meet are also sorted into your folders. You can pick up ribbons and coupons from the welcome hut anytime during regular pool hours.
