Coach Doug is excited to finish up the season with a strong showing at Finals. We are all so proud of what our swimmers have accomplished this season.
Each team is restricted on the number of entries per event, so most of the age groups for FCC are now full. However, there are limited spots remaining in the following age groups/events: 9-10 Boys (IM, Breast, 50 Free), 9-10 Girls (IM and 50 Free), and 13-14 Girls (all but 50 Free). If your swimmer is not yet registered and interested in participating in one of the groups listed above, please register via SwimTopia TODAY!
All parents are encouraged to double check your swimmer's registration. Deck changes are limited to scratches after we submit entries this Thursday 7/9.
We are in need of one more Hospitality volunteer during the morning session. If you can help out, please sign up as soon as possible! This is a pretty low key assignment that includes keeping the hospitality room organized, delivering snacks and water to timers and officials on deck, and setting out lunch for coaches and officials. Parents are not allowed on deck during the meet without valid volunteer credentials. So, volunteering is a great way to be closer to the action!
2026 GFSL Championships Registration and Volunteer Sign Up
The GFSL has provided an extensive parent packet with all parking info, facility rules, and session times. Please read through this thoroughly: 2026 GFSL Championship - Parent Packet
Some important highlights:
- Heat sheets, team warm up times, and final session timelines will be released on Friday, July 10
- The morning session will utilize 1 pool. The afternoon session runs in two pools, a girls' pool and boys' pool. For the afternoon, the pools will run at the same time. Girls' events will be odd numbered, boys' events will be even numbered. Swimmers in the afternoon should be aware that the events will be going by 2s. For example, if the current event in the boys' pool is 56, then the next event will be 58.
- No parents are allowed on deck (unless with proper volunteer credentials)
- Swimmers will enter through the locker rooms and be located in our team's assigned area. FCC is #7 on the Team Deck Seating Assignment.
- Swimmers should pack a towel, sweatshirt (A/C in the GAC gets cold), small snacks, and a water bottle. Swimmers can bring their normal swim bag on deck.
- Parents and spectators are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages into the facility. Coolers are not permitted. The GAC is very strict on this policy. One exception is caffeinated beverages, so bring your morning coffee. The GAC does offer concessions.
- Review the GAC Clear Bag Policy for parents and spectators, including volunteers on deck.
- Review the full GAC Facility Rules
- The meet will be streamed on the GAC YouTube Channel
- The GAC charges a $10 Parking Fee.
Once final warm up times and heat sheets are published, we will send additional information regarding meet up times for swimmers to check in and for volunteers to obtain credentials from Kate and Raul.
We will have practices through the rest of this week for swimmers attending Finals. Please encourage your swimmer to attend the remaining practices if they are attending Finals on Sunday. Coach will focus on starts, turns, and stroke improvements and we hope to see some more personal bests at Finals! Practices are this evening (Wednesday 7/8), tomorrow evening (Thursday 7/9), and Friday morning 7/10. Friday will not be a traditional "fun" practice. Friday will remain focused on Finals prep for our swimmers.
Volunteers - Thank you to all of the volunteers who have signed up so far. We appreciate you! Timers and S&T, please see the parent packet for specific meeting times and locations.
